Having built an extensive portfolio of design for schools, our team was commissioned to refresh the Darwen Vale High School brand, following its move to become a part of the Aldridge Foundation. Whilst retaining the established Darwen Vale crest, the team created a full brand scheme for #TeamVale, along with concepts for the school’s innovative awards scheme.

Bright, modern, clean and crisp, the new visual style provided a major shift for Darwen Vale, whilst reflecting the key values on which the school’s vision is based. Ever also named and branded the ADVANCE awards scheme, and revamped the school website and marketing collateral as part of the project.

Along with a refined school crest, our creative team developed a full suite of logotypes for the school. Guidelines have also been built to create a refreshed palette of colour and type throughout future marketing communications.

Within the new Darwen Vale brand scheme, Ever created the name and styling for the new pupil awards programme, designed to develop life and career skills and reward pupils with work experience placements. Advance@Vale was created, along with a modern honeycomb motif to reference the traditional ‘worker bee’ emblem of the local area.

As part of our brand development work, our creative team created moodboards and art directed a selection of school photoshoots, covering every part of school life – from the classroom to the playing fields.

The team at Ever quickly built a thorough understanding of our school. From our designs to our photography, everything has been delivered with great attention to detail and to perfectly reflect our vision for Darwen Vale
